Let me know if you will be at Kez in the Bay Area this weekend. I want to show you something I've been working on.
These are carbon fiber filament miter jigs.

Rigid, stable, tough, and after tuning them on a granite plate, pretty accurate. It's based off a jig my teacher made me at Mt. Fuji Wood Culture Society. I went through about 20 prototypes this summer, tweaking dozens of parameters. Earlier ones would warp, crack, or be too gummy and flex under pressure. Or self destruct on the 12th hour of printing. But the design and process to make them is stabilizing. Let me know if you want to try one.
They're used for things like secret miter dovetails, with both chisels and a miter plane:

I'll bring some extras. The 5th person to sign up for a subscription on Saturday, in person, can take a jig home with them. I'll also be giving out prints of some photos from the newsletter.
